Miranda tutorial

What is Miranda?

Miranda is a open-source multi protocol instant messenger client for Microsoft Windows.

After installing Miranda

After installing Miranda, you will be asked to enter certain protocol/messenger information. The following picture is the one for IRC where you have to enter a nickname and another name (it doesn`t have to be your real name).

Now that you have entered the two names, click the Miranda icon in the Miranda main window and then choose Options (1), go to Network -> IRC (2). When you are there click the + (O) to add a new Network to the list.

Enter "Travian" as Network and "irc.travian.com" as Server name and Internet address Port range should be 6666 to 6667.

After you have clicked "Ok" twice (once to close the add Network window and once to close the options), click the Miranda icon in the Miranda main window and then choose IRC -> Quickconnect. Choose the "Travian" Network and click "Connect".

After this the IRC icon in the Miranda main window should turn bright blue (you have successfully connected to the network). Also the option to join a channel should become available in the IRC submenu:

Type "#travian" into the Question window where you are asked which channel to join.
If a new window opens like the following you have successfully connected to the network and also joined the international Travian channel there, congratulations.
